Hello Ragdoll Kingdom! My name is James Elliott, and I'm the owner of Kingdom Ragdolls.

My love of cats started when I was 3 years old, and I got to pick my first kitten from my grandparents' farm. I picked what my family members said was the meanest and ugliest kitten of the litter. Lol! But I loved my “ugly” orange tabby that I named McDonald, and he loved me back. We were inseparable for the next 8 years. He looked out for me as I did the same for him. Ever since McDonald my love of cats has only grown.

It was 15 years ago while I was working at an animal research lab that my mother, who also breeds ragdolls, introduced me to the ragdoll breed. I fell in love with the ragdoll breed almost instantly. But who wouldn’t fall in love with these sweet and fluffy cats?

For 10+ years I worked in a research lab learning the ins and outs about animal science. From cats and dogs to monkeys (NHP) and pigs (swine) I excelled in learning animal behavior, Veterinary care and procedures, surgical procedures, in vivo research, reproductive research, and training employees on proper animal husbandry, basic Veterinary care, and animal behavior and handling. I was even given the nickname cat and dog whisper because of my ability to work with and to calm overly aggressive or scared animals. Especially cats and dogs.

In 2020 when COVID hit I decided it was time for a change and in 2021 I started breeding ragdolls with my mother. My mother has always been an inspiration to me, and I have learned so much about running a ragdoll business from her.

But now, after 10+ years of experience in animal research and 3 years breeding ragdolls with my mother I’ve branched out, and with the help of my daughter we have started our own ragdoll business, Kingdom Ragdolls.

At Kingdom Ragdolls we strive to provide our kittens with the best care, love, and attention possible. Our queens, kings, and kittens live in the comfort of our home and are NEVER housed in cages. Our kittens are heavily socialized daily.
